Page 143 - MIDI Sample DUMPS!!!

To anybody trying to exchange samples between their MPC and CPU, read page 143 of the manual. It will be quite helpful if you are using A WAVE Studio software as i've mentioned before.

Still don't understand how I can use floppies in my MPC and CPU and read WAV's or SND files.

I'll stick to the more conventional method.

Get the MPC Editor for PC when you upgrade the OS, it supports wav conversion.

Perfect. I've got the MPC Editor from when I owned an MPC-2000XL.
How do I format my disks to read in my computer and the MPC? I know that NTSF can't be read on older machines. FAT was more commonly used. That's has been the major issue. Someone needs to explain this step by step. Maybe provide 2 versions. Win 95-98 and Win 2000-XP.

Can't wait for my upgrade to arrive. I'm afraid my machine is going to blow up when i install it though....after all the drive issues.

I just used MPC formatted disks on Win 98SE, not sure about other OS's, but it should work fine.

Floppies? Not a problem. Format a coorectly sized (HD, DD) drive for your machine on the MPC and put in the PC to transfer.

Non-floppies and Win9x and variants, format on the MPC and transfer to disk from PC (find NoVolTrack at mpc3000.com befprehand).

Non-floppies and Win NT/2k/XP: there is an easy solution that I use all the time but this info has not been made public yet.
