problem with putting waves from my pc to mpc

right so i get them on the mpc fine..


problem is when u load them up it plays like less than half the sample.. it gets cut off...

and another problem i noticed.. i got alot of one shot drum samples on my pc.. when i put it on the mpc at the end of every sample its got a CLICK noise.. on everyone.. but on the PC they are fine.. anyone know what i can do about this.

one more thing.. is there any way i can make it so when i trigger the sample it only plays for as long as i hold the pad... coz at the moment it plays out the WHOLE SAMPLE.. its gettin to me..

go to trim mode, see if the whole sample is loaded, or just the part of it. Then we will see what to do next.

Use the Envelope to get rid off the clicks or go to trim mode and cut a small part of the end.

as for that click problem.. i tried timing the samples.. but no matter where i trip it to.. it still clicks

roopesh found out that you need to adjust your samples before transfering them with a dc offset adjustment. Sound forge and other editors can do it.

now u have just confused me....



and another thing... as far as i know when i put my samples in to trim mode.. the whole thing is highlighted... but the whole sample isnt there... i dunno im confused.. i fee like suicide.. THIS THING IS DRIVING ME NUTS

looks like your samle is not completly loaded, cuz it should show you the whole sample. Maybe it has something to do with the way you make your samples. How do you do it?

just record them on to my pc, when i import them into logic its fine, but when i put them on the mpc, its like only a small part of them is there, no idea why

I have already dealt with Akai UK and USA and its something they will fix.

but the Fix is already here.

Use 'DC OFF SET' on your software for each .wav sample.

no more clicks at the end of your samples.

this might be the problem

are the wav's sample u cut ureself or d/led

they could have just been recorded with that click or pop so that why its there

but like everyone said above me .... u need to try to trim that shit

Maybe you have loop points set in the sample as well? Check your manual for setting loop points, that could help

Down the same path as sumedho, and partially misterrock, a lot of downloaded sounds are poorly created with little consistency, and I find that many cheap sounds I find have been created with completely random sustain loop data in the middle of them. If you enter Trim mode on the MPC and turn looping OFF, this may eliminate the click.

I've also found a few utilities for stripping loop data from wav files, and some folks on this site may be making those sort of tools available at some point.
