Formating Hard Disk?

I bought a used Mpc with a hard drive. I want to delete all the samples they left on there. I have the option to format the hard disk, it says it deletes everytrhing but i dont want it to mess anything else up. should i format it?

dont do it!...it's gonna mess it up by erasing everythin on your hard drive!

huh? he wants to format his hd. if he does so, it say 'warning, everything on this hd is being erased' that's exactly what he wants, so stop scaring him.

everything worked out. this dude left a bunch of samples on there, i wanted them all gone.

yeah, better off starting on a clean slate... especially if there were any file corruption caused by OS 2.1. Update to version 3.05 and you'll be much better off!
