No doubt you will not have certain features on the 2kxl that you had on the 1000 but I wouldn't consider it being a lost. It's all in what you are comfortable with. If I were you I would tell him to ebay his 2kxl to get what he want straight up.

keep the 1k...buy an xl..get the both of both worlds...sparq is right, dontlet 'friends' duke u into ellin ur gear cheap..

Keep the 1000 and buy an S3000xl/S950 or suchlike for the fatness. They're going for PEANUTS on ebay these days.
