How can record a live playing of my triton to my mpc 2000xl, while i hear my drum pattern playing from the mpc. I've tried midi but I cant hear what I'm playing.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would think it was as simple as setting the mpc midi channel......but I dont own an Le.......you would need to set the midi channel to 1a thru 16a and select the program number

But you need to pm lampdog and ask him he will drop some jems on you and trust me they are authentic

well first of all, do you have your keyboard connected to an amplifier, mixer, or anything that will let you hear your LE by itself? If not, there is your problem. The LE and the MPC only transmit midi notes so you will not be able to use the MPC as a mixer to hear your triton le. Invest in a mixer..they are very cheap nowadays.

Once you have connected your LE properly come back and we will answer any question you may have from that point.

Hope this answered you question.

Alright, here is what i do.fisrt the basic shit like stated before.midi in's and out's hooked up and mpc on one channel of a mixer and the triton on another.as far as recording sounds from the le while a seq. on the mpc is playing it's simple.
1.go to the track you want to record on in the mpc and select MIDI 1A-DEVICE01.

2.on the le push the seq button(to the left of the lcd screen)

3.once that is open, press program 2 on the bottom of that screen.

4.select track 1 and scroll to the sound that you want.

5.you will be able to press any button on the mpc and hear the same sounds that are selected on the triton.

6.you can now record while playing your seq using either the le or the mpc.

repeat these steps to record more than one sound, making sure to change the track number up one each time on both devices.
hope this helps.if you have any questions, let me know.i use this same setup.

Thanks everyone for all your help! I got it working it was because i didn't have my triton hooked to a mixer or something so that I could hear it.

Holla back!
