No Chop Function??

I just copped a used MPC 1000. After recording a sample I wanted to use the auto chop function. My problem is that when I go to the trim screen that function isnt there. I'm new to the mpc ,but I was thinking maybe I have an old O/S. I would appreciate if you experts could shed some light on why that feature isnt there....

well, it's not really new, it's been around since december
and it's not exactly spanking. it's got a few bugs, and -- well, just install it and see what you can get going.

No, but after sloving my one problem another problem arose, My CF on the MPC is not reading the card.....

Try formatting it with the MPC.

I tried that as well, still no luck. The flash card works when I use it with my comp. so it has to be the MPC..

I tried it again , when I try to Format the Card it on the MP, it says system error
