I have my MPC 1000 running through a Mackie 1202 mixer. I've tested all the mixer funtions, knobs etc. I believe 100% I am not experiencing a mixer problem, however I can't hear any sounds. There are no solo or muted tracks, I'm pretty sure that my MPC "mixer" is at the default settings. I've been a MPC users for 5 years and I can't figure this out. I desperately need an answer. Please help me.

Can you describe the connections you've made?

What's attached to the output of your Mackie desk?

it's why "can't" you hear anything. you should be glad if you can here "anything" that'd be superhuman and possibly bring some money in. anyway turn yer main out on MPC to 7/8 max vol. turn every knob on the mixer down to 0, make sure you are not routing sound to cntrl rm or to effects, check headphone/cntrl rm param. if all the way down can keep sound from entering mixer. then slowly turn up sound on appropriate channel (linked to MPC) until level reaches just below clip margin. Can you hear sound if you plug in yer headphones to MPC? if so, there is no mixer problem in MPC, if not- then hit MODE + PAD 8 (mixer), push L/out (the middle tab) and adjust yer volume, may also check L/pan. check cord connections, also check if you have appropriate programs selected to the appropriate track, sometimes if you rename, it brings up a ghost program in the spot where yer now renamed program was- the same can be true for samples.
