ATTACHING MPC 4000 TO THE COMPUTER

OK so i just recently got an mpc 4000 so im not really that familiar with everything yet but ive made a whole ton of beats and i want to get these onto the computer. can someone please explain to me exactly what i will need to do to get it onto the computer, what softwares i will need, and what cords and such. i downloaded the aksys program but i have no idea what to do with it. thx
