Disc Drive Issues

All,

I am new to the MPC although I have been making beats in my head for many years. I really love mine although I know it is quite old. Sometimes it has trouble reading discs and will just show ?? when prompted to recognize what type of disc is being used such as: MPC2000, 3000, 60, etc.

Should it be able to read all of these or is there something wrong with my MPC?

The manual tells you what isn't and is readable doesn't?

If you need a new floppy drive they are cheap at any computer store near you. Same floppy drive found on desktop computers.
