more sampling questions

Yo,

Right now Im sampling some stuff off of cd's because Im waiting for my slipmat for my tech. and some wires and all that good stuff.

So right now Im basically trying to assign 2 versions of the same sample (*not zoned) to 2 different pads. The problem that Im running into is that I can only use the sample in one form, not 2. I'm pretty sure that the program function can address this issue, but does anyone know how to handle this?

I basically want the intro of the sample on one pad, and the whole sample on the next. (Loading samples from a cd)

make a sample with just the intro, and assign it to a 2nd pad under shift 6.

DANG, make a copy, use the trim on each one to trim and get it how you want it, use your imagination. THINK it through.

Or to save memory use zone edit and apply each zone to a different pad

BK, that depends on IF the intro is ie. 1% - 15%
and the WHOLE sample is 1% - 100% then ZONE will not help.
2 copies of the sample will be needed for this.

IF the intro is ie. 1% - 15% and the WHOLE sample is physically the REST of the sample 15% - 100% then ZONE would be perfect.
1 original sample will be needed for this.
