ASR 10 OWNERZ HOLLA!!!!

ASR X is basically a tabletop drum machine styled version of the ASR keyboard of course with bigger memory. I have a ASR-10 now and had a ASR x Pro (the red one) a while back and I loved it except for the pads and 2 little ecth-a-sketch nipples to control everything with. Everything I could do with my ASR I could do with the ASR X and a little more. The ASRX PRO had built in stomper software that created elec drums from parameters you defined, like out of thin air. Had like 700 something sounds already in it also and they were in ROM so no worry about erasing them.

the keyboard version has adjustable sample rates, and only 16mb max memory I believe...

The main difference, one is keyboard and one is not.

I go the asr-x also, but haven't used it in a while. I was thinking about getting the asr-10, but with it's 16mb limitation, I figured I'd stick with the X. I really don't know the difference, but I'd assume the sequencer is a lot better than the X. If you don't plan on using the sequencer on the 10, Just stick with what you already have.

The Asr 10 has the illlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll vocoder. More effects on the 10... yum. My boy originally bought the 10 brand new. Sold it and got the X for wav support. Saw his SAME 10 on ebay the other day....and bought it back from the dude who bought it from him. Im wondering if there is a difference in the sound. (I suspect there is) Im gonna either ask him to do a listening test or drop by his crib real soon to do one myself. Double blind style.
