Oh...and it is possible to loop a sample nearly perfectly by using the MPCs graphic waveform editior without listening to the sample...

Seeing the waveform helps tremendously when trying to loop. I used to own an S2000 and Ensoniq ASR-X. They only had numbers and it was tedious to say the least.

I have been using my MPC 3000 while my 2500 is away. I would never go back to exclusively using the 3000. But if the 3000 had graphic waveform editing with a faster processor....well..I guess that's why they released the 2500

You don't think about processor speeds until you get on that's faster. The 2500 processor is quicker than the 2000, what I was using. Took me by surprise.

hells ya much faster with the 2500 even when the machen is full of samples!.........the 2000 would be soooooo slow when I filled the 32 megs......


the thing I liked about trim mode in the 2000 is that when u hit your sample in trim mode u didnt have to hold down the pad like the 2500.....


that would be cool.....!

If people wanna ask questions that can be answerd in the manuel, so what? How much energy does it really take to answer it? Even more, how much energy does it take to not answer it? This is the most condesending forum I've ever came across on the internet. The most talented people I know don't live by the word's of the manuels anyway. If you think that knowing everything makes you a better producer you are sadly mistakin.

Isn't it funny how the 3 of u only joined this site a couple months ago... I take it that all of u are new to this and would love for everyone to tell u the basics cause you're too lazy to learn them on your own.

Whenever u new guys LEARN the BASICS and have a REAL QUESTION about something the manual doesn't say (i.e. techniques, tricks, style) come holla at me!

First of all I wasn't talking about my questions I was talking about those who ask questions I have read my manual. And to answer your question"What's the point of me wasting my time telling u something you can read in the manual." you should humble yourself man, there are a lot of guys on here that don't mind sharing info even if it is in the manual.............I guess your not one of them. It would seem you don't even like to ask questions, I mean you've been on here since 04 and you have under 50 posts........which is not really a big deal.........maybe your just scared you'll ask a stupid question.Which is exactly my point, if you don't know something just ask

I am far from new to this, dude. billboard can back me up on that. matter of fact, since you're from philly, ask dre and vidal, or omilio sparks, they can vouch for my production skills.... sooooo, with all the techniques, tricks, and style that you have, what was the last major placement that you've had?

I could care less if u made the top 3 tracks on billboard! Laziness is laziness... take an hour out of your day and read the manual so i can stop reading these ridiculous post.
