Hi there,
I'm trying to figure out how to assign a sound to an individual output but also hear it trough the headphoneoutput. Is there a way to do this? - Without putting all the individual outputs in a mixer & use that headphoneoutput.
Thanx for your advice...

yea ....unlike any other mpc ....the 2500's sound cuts from the headphones and stereo out when routed to the individual outs....why NO IDEA!...... Akai just does stuff caz they are in space.....I donno what meetings they have and who talks about speacial features or functionality of the machien ......but I do know their is alot of crack cocain their!

well think of it this way

the mpc headphone output moniters the main outs, right?

the individual outs don't go to the main outs.

not to mention - if you're using individual outs, one would think you were also using a mixer, which often has a headphone jack as well.

Well, that the sounds routed to the individual outs don't go to the Main out no more is pretty much what I expect. But there should at least be an option to hear the indiv. outs through the headphones as well.

Let me explain the situation.

Imagine,
A live show,
Ofcourse you send out your sounds via the individual outputs, since you might be performing in a situation like a festival, you don't have a lot of time to do a proper soundcheck. So you have to do a line check.
While your mixer in the FOH is busy with other things you wanna check on some of the stuff in your MPC to make sure it's all well.
...
Instead of dragging around a mackie VLZPRO 16line mixer on stage(wich I do now) wouldn't it be nice if you could indeed listen to the individual outputs without having to plug in to a mixer or plugging your headphones into the individual outputs....

PS: By the way who says I'm a dude... dude?

THanx for your comments...

You won't find the ability to hear individual outs on any other piece of equipment, except a mixer.

It also keeps the cost down. It would be quite complicated to wire them all to the headphones out. Probably raising the price a hundred or so.

Indeed that's not a funny way to check it (as I can see from the face you put behind it...)
I tried that but on stage it'll be quite a drag...
