just use bluebox to make your kits and save them from there if your mpc is giving you problems. google bluebox its free and makes akai .pgms.

Hi another question i use 808 a lot and when the kick is long it interfeers with the other 808 in patter is there a way on the mpc that lets me auto cut off the end before it gets near the other kick.

thanks

If I were you, I'd check the manual sections on "Save" for your first problems (sounds like you're not always saving your programs to the flash card before switching off), and the section on "voice overlap" in the "Program" chapter. Those will answer your questions.

If you don't have the manual, do yourself a HUGE favour and download it from the support section of akaipro.com.

To cut one sound off when another is pressed, you have to assign mute groups...Go into program mode and then go to params.

you have to save things to an autoload folder if you want them to automatically be there when you switch the MP on. Its in the manual look under saving.

No I think he just meant the same sample in the program. This is ESPECIALLY important with 808 kicks! GOTO program>params>pad polyphony (or whatver it is):mono. You have to make the polyphony of that certain pad, espically important with long subs and kicks so they don't phase. This is a newbie mistake and will **** up yoour tracks. I am well pissed and in no state to explian it better.
