please somebody that knows what there talking about help me!!!! when i make a beat with my mpc and sequence sounds from my keyboard i have this problem. when i load all information seq & programs. all my sounds from my keyboard, play back as pianos, not the bass or strings ect, that i had assined for each midi track. how do i get the mpc to pull up the same sounds for a seq? i use a yamaha psr 2000. not exactly a triton, but a good 32 channel multitimberal keyboard.

i half way understand what your talking about. i can scan through the sounds in my keyboard from my mpc? the reason i dont understand is this, my keyboard has 800 sounds in it, if i select the sounds from the mpc the program number only goes up to 128 in the mpc, that is if what you were talking about is the info field pgm above velo%. 128 does not correspond to the 800 sounds i got in my keyboard. i am a newbie as you expert cats you call it . i need all little more guidence.

I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH MY ASR -10 . ON THE MAIN SCREEN OF THE MPC WHERE IT HAS THE TRACK NUMBER , UNDER THAT U HAVE TO TURN IT TO MIDI INSTEAD OF DRUM, THEN NEXT TO IT WHERE IT SAYS DEVICE , THE DEVICE NUMBER HAS TO BE THE SAME AS THE INSTRUMENT NUMBER IN YOUR KEYBOARD . IF THE BASS IS INSTRUMENT 1 IN UR KEYBOARD , THE DEVICE NUMBER IN THE MPC SHOULD BE 1, IF A HORN IS INSTRUMENT #2 ON UR KEYBOARD , UR MPC DEVICE # SHOULD BE 2 ALSO , SO ON &SO ON . MAKE SURE THE MIDI IN ON YOUR KEYBOARD IS SET TO MULTI . HOPE THIS WORKS 4 U LIKE IT DID 4 ME .. PEACE
