TRacks made with MPC1k Live5.2 Circuit Bent S&S 303 Elektron

New TRack up! Mystery Word has my new Circuit Bent Speak and Spell. Also using follow Action in Live 5.2 for the Drums and Bass. DRums are from old break on Vinyl cut up in Live.

New Track up! Seed Royal all done with my MPC 1000 tracked by Live 5.2 with no mastering. Bass Lead line was done by my Future Revolution sampled into the MPC programmed from scratched. Other sounds MiniMonster sampled into MPC and then played with the pads. Orginal Guitar made with Roger Linn Adrenalinn pedal Truley a workhorse pedal for me. Vocal Sample from Vinyl I bet you can't tell where the sample came from? Drums are from Machindrum SPS1 and One shots from MPC60 factory sound programs.

Other tracks are older 80's Comedian was just a fun track with Richard Pryor samples and the Machinedrum and Revolution and Juno 6.

Magic Jim was a track made with the MPC tracked to Live and then other sources added. Lots of sources all drums are made by me with One Shots from old vinyl breaks from one of my sample disk I bought from Ebay. Soul Breaks. Lots of vocal samples from the MAC voices.

i circuit-bent a few things as well, but i've been slackin' on producing for a while now. when i get back on track, i'll hit you off with something new.

Thanks man! Circuit bending is a whole new language its like tapping into some strange new world. I purchased this already circuit bent on Ebay for like $30. I have another un circuit bent S&S on the way. I've been reading Reed Ghazala's book on Circuit Bending. Good book even if you don't plan on building your own even if you just plan on playing them and sampling them. Post up! Thanks for listening.

Word up. Reed Ghazala is the man! That's how i discovered circuit-bending in the first place. I've been reading his site for about 2 years now and I've learned quite a bit since then. So far, I've bent a Speak & Read, Roland TR-626, TR-727, and a Casio SK-1. I still need to bend my Speak & Spell, and Speak & Math after I get caught up with a few projects. I have no circuit-bent tracks done yet, since I've been busy learning a few pieces of gear I've bought recently. Right now I gotta bang out a house track for my boy who's starting his own label. So I'll catch up with you soon and add you to my myspace page.

PS - I've read some good reviews about Reed's book. From what I've read, there's something in it for everyone, so I'll cop that eventually as well.

I just purchased a S&S, S&R, and S&M. Should be fun to mess with. Two of them aren't bent. Debating wether or not to do it myself or find someone to do it. What do you think? Thanks.

It aint that hard to do it yourself. You'll get more satisfaction anyway. Go to Reed's website @ http://www.anti-theory.com and absorb as much info as you can. The most important thing to know about Speaks is that there are a few different revisions on the PCB over the years, so the circuit paths vary. For more info, check out this site...

Thats good information. Yeah, I think I'll have fun with those. I was always interested. I heard this band called Beatrix Jar & I really like what they were doing with them. That sort of got me into it.

They were both Soundtrack pieces for the two videos in my video section of myspace.
So all the circuit bent stuff in "Convergence" is the voice of the Buildings communicating back and forth in the Movie "Concrete:Disscusion".

The beauty of music, is you don't have to like everything. Different strokes for different folks. Allot of people dislike these genres, but thats OK. I hate Rap about RIMS, HO's & Escalades!
