The Sheffield Drum Record

I just bought this record and its great!

Im not sure how popular it is, but for those who dont know, its a record where the engineers from Sheffield Lab recording studios experiment with all these different drums with direct disc recording(which means that its barely been compressed).

this record is golden. just non stop great sounding drums!

basically i wanna know how popular this record is? and if anyone else has it, and what they think about it.

i paid around a dollar for it, because i bought a whole lot of vinyls from this dude and that happened to be in there,

this got to be one of those UK records HUH?....i have never seen this one ever around my area,

right on vinyl drums are the best man, i love to sample my drums from records , i thought of puttin one out like that with samples of drum machines and bass synth sounds for all the house heads but used by all genre's to make music.

i have this record that has a Tb303 and roland SH and some others on it and then it said the samples on this record and such and such so i picked it up thinking it's like this one you got but no it was songs this dude made on those things i was pissed but i got to thinking why not make a record with samples and sound like that , like a sample cd but all raw sounds no compression.

if i can only stop spending so much money on records one day i will put out a ep.

i havent seen this one around before must be a popular thing or not to many people have it and get rid of it, may few copy's were made .

Ede- Sheffield Labs is in the Santa Barbara area in Cali. They did pretty much all direct to disk records. Not sure about the Bay, but I see Sheffield records almost everytime I shop. At least around here they are easy to find (and only a few are worth checking for).
