MPC1k - MPC2k Compatibility

Hey Guys,

I am returning my MPC 1000 becuase of reliability problems and getting and 2000.

I was just wondering if there is anyway I could open my MPC1k files on the 2k??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to open the MIDI files but as far as programs I dont think those will load up in the 2k. So you will have to re-do your programs. But your MIDI files should load with no problem you just will have to reassign your samples/sounds.

You can only open midi files with it, so ur sequences can be opened. U can not load pgm files so u'll have to place all the samples on the right pads urself.

I lost a few dope beats that way....;(
