Not multi timbral, here is a tip!

If you own a Keyboard, or synth module, and want a quick easy way to layer those synths, here is a tip.

Program your keys via midi through your mpc. Once you have crated a good loop, turn loop funtion off, and play only the synth.

Now, record that synth pattern to a cd recorder, multitrack, tape, or whatever it is you use.

Because you used the sequencer, and the midi clock is set, your synth wave can just be sampled straight back to the mpc. Run your audio outs from your recorder back to the mpc sample in, and record the signal.

Trim it up, and now just drop it back in.

You can do this all day long, and it will solve any problem you have with synth layering....

I solved that problem temporarily by creating a multi-sample program for the bass sound i liked.

I'm gonna try that soon.

i often find when im using a multi span....like a sampled synth or one of tutors keys packs is that when ive recorded the riff ive settled on i go and delete all the multisamples not used....ok pretty rudiemntary stuff but it also means you can tack those notes into an empty space at the end of a program...

some of my progs have had an organ multi and a key multi on..saving memory and giving me an extra prog slot to play with....
