ONLY YOU can answer that question. Do you? To be honest you should be able to make beats with or without an mpc. I mean you might get some great benefits from using an mpc but its not necessary to accompany your setup. Is your setup working good for you now? I say if you do go for an mpc go for the 1000. But expect alot of different answers that will only end up leaving you with the question "Which one?" If i say 1000 and two others say 2500 then 5 other come say 1000 and so forth on. How does that really help you? Its our preference. I say go try it out if you can and see for yourself.

Another question what do you need the mpc to be able to do?

i make killer beats as is with my setup and just included an mpc 2500 but i asked to see it seems as if the mpc 2500 isn't as of right now of any benefit......just curious if anyone else had thoughts like that...i mean it's almost a $2000 machine......i love the pads though...but they aren't worth 2000

nice, i think i will send the 2500 back and get the 1000, all i really want is the drum use, i can sample and synth on the pc.....what was i thinking..lol
does the 1000 have a note repeat buttun? also what about the MPD24? INSTEAD OF THE MPC?

i just got it 2 days ago....it is my 1st mpc...so i figured if i say i need help on decideing i would swap out or return....i am new to the mpc's thats why i said that..sorry

I think the MPD24 would work best for you since u want pads for drumming and your main setup revolves around your PC.

Should've listened to your own advice.
