file permissions, yay or nay?

anyone tried setting up file permissions on the pc while linked up via usb?

would def be handy if i could make some files read only so i dont accidently save over them i.e. drum libraries

I understand, make a copy of a single sound sample. And try it with that. Don't mess up ANY of your real stuff that you actually use, make copies of stuff and experiment with the copies ya dig. NEVER experiment with your real stuff.

If you are worried about losing your stuff, you should backup your whole drive regularly to your computer. Maybe once a week or so, that way you don't lose more than a weeks work. Or even every day if you are really worried.
