connecting to laptop/sonar

what up y'all?

I've got sonar on my laptop and would like to record my mpc 2000xl beats, and some cuts from my technic 1200 and O6-pro onto it.

Does anyone know what cables, connections, etc. I would need to get this started, and what the proper setup requirements would be?

I've also got reason 2.0

Does anyone know how I can implement this program within the setup as well?

First you will need a mixer or audio interface with a few inputs on it for the audio you want to bring in. Theres some pretty cheap ones out there not sure what your looking to spend. Also if you just want to come straight out your dj mixer just get some rca to 1/8 inch cables at any radio shack. ( although this is not going to give you the best quality it will allow you to record anything passing through your dj mixer into sonar. ) as well I am not sure if reason 2 has the ability to be rewired or not if so you can rewire into sonar using its sequencer or midi it up with the mpc and use its sequencer. Again you are going to need some sort of midi interface for this. Most budget audio interfaces also have a midi in / out on them for just this sort of thing. I know m-audio makes a few under 100 bucks.
