BPM detect on the 2500 ?

Well I wouldn't dismiss it that easily, the 2500 is a really nice machine.
Jahrome use to go on about how it was a good replacement for the XL and I would have to agree.
The Dect just works in a very odd way.
It's more like Akai thought the only time you needed to know tempo was in the Patch Phrase.
Too many aspects are linked together.
You have the Seq tempo linked to the sample tempo linked to the sample length and so on.
The problem comes from you note being able to tell the Detect what to detect.
You have to look at it from what it detects.

I typically just do the detect and divide it in half or do the detect and multiple my desired tempo by 2.
