Newly trimmed samples muting other samples

Lately I have been trimming and splicing up my own recorded samples, but when i am trying to record with them, each time i hit a pad with one sample, it will mute once another pad/sample is hit.

how can i fix this?

i thought it may be the setting for each bad (note on, one shot) but that doesnt seem to let each sample play when another sample/pad is hit.

Check the program settings - it should be 'poly'.
