Mpc sync to soundforge - How?

Can anyone give me a step-by-step? I've read the tutorial the manuals but no luck. I hate being stuck like this![/color]

There is not reason to sync to Soundforge. You can only record or playback in SF mono or stereo. It is not a multi-track recorder. Start recording, hit play. When you reach the end, hit stop. Trim the blank areas. That's it.

I might be in the same situation sometime soon. what does he/she mean by "sync" to sound forge. What I know is on a hardware stand point, that you can connect midi from the drum/sampler/sequencer via Expensive sound card.( audigy sound blaster).

I dont have sound forge yet. but i was thinking that if you have your MPC sequence your audibles to computer, you can easily save it somewhere on your hard drive for later use. then once you get back from eating dinner you can boot up the pc, load the sequence you saved and open it in Sound forge then edit. Please tell me if im wrong.

As for me, i have the bottom line soundcard with the 1/8 inch input. will that do?

The trimming off of silence makes sense I guess. I actually meant how to sync to Vegas. That one is a multi-track program. That may not even be necessary. Paulitic, I'm using an Audigy Sondblaster card and it gets the job done. Get rid of the stock ones asap because most pc converters suck

Hey, mpc 3000, what are the efx chains do you use for your drums? or how do you use SF to "clean up" your samples? Just curious. For me, it's been trial and error but so far so good.

set vegas to send mtc 30fps and mmc
set mpc to receive mtc and enable mmc
set the tempo the same in both programs
thats really about it. as long as you have them midi'd up

You wanna sync your mpc to record on multitrack program, use cool edit pro. The most dopest and user friendly program out there. Record unlimited tracks and edit wav files at the same time with hardly no drop outs.

i think i will stick with nuendo over cool edit anyday. HA.
