There you go...

http://rapidshare.de/files/30464730/ricci_rucker_-_pink_and_orange_but_i_am_not_gay___ned_hoddings_live_version__.mp3.html

came out in 2003 i think, all i have is this scratched live version though.
I remember there was a site that had those organ samples and some flute multisamples for download, artist's statement on this was that they took them from his breakrecord.
If you downloaded this sample and straight looped it that's weak too imo, cause you don't even know it's original source.
You can do better than that, i heard it on your myspace site (Poeftah is a killer!) :P
So, where's that sample from? just being curious...

Peace!

u might be right there actually!

i don't know the original source. i got it of a sample cd chocka full with rhodes samples downloaded of the net. most likely the site you speak of... i don't know. we pass on many sample cd's amongst the buddies. but yeah... thinking on it... it is kinda wack if those Hed Noddings cats are behind the sample source (i'm taking that beat of u convinced me lol).
i did not know and would not have taken it elsewise.

now... before this topic ends up in another discussion about how sampling from cd's is for teddy's and how only real heads jack from original vinyl, etc... let me tell you this... just cause you were kinda rude in how you got at me:

(and please do allow me to blow my own cock here - as i never do)

i've always been a great supporter of diggin' to it's very essence. been a record dealer for many years selling rare beats 'n breaks to folks allover the globe. my crew and me have been doing countless mixtapes and several records wich have gotten us a lot of props in the diggin' scene. check Soulman's legendary World Of Beats site for instance... we got an interview there. (my company was Barriosoundz & my crew is After Hours). the bottomline is... don't question the love that i and everybody else in this forum have towards the art of diggin'. so please... next time you're in doubt about the 'realness' regarding a sample source... be a bit less straight forward... i was kinda offended (aah hip hop and ego's!)... but u more than made it up for it with giving a compliment... :) !

(ok i'm done blowin')

once again no bad grudges...
i hope i didn't came of arrogant. i'm actually a humble man and all peace & luv on some hippie tip.

group hug?

be easy!

i wasn't trying to diss or start a stupid discussion about sample ethics.
there's too much out nowadays to keep up with everything and stuff like this could happen to anybody.
Maybe you could just label it "Pink & Orange Remix"
