Clearing Samples

Ive sampled a lot of old stuff from records, whats up with getting the samples cleared so i could sell beats, do i have to clear them? how do i go about that?

If you're published by a music publishing company get them to clear the samples.
if you aren't, get a lawyer, search the net for 'sample clearance'.
Beware of lawsuits, with sampled material they are always possible.

If you are pretty sure there is no way someone can identify your sample and prove its origin (but how can you be?) then you can take the risk and skip the clearing thing.
