Mpc "2000" Part...where the hell can I find them???

I just ordered a Mpc 2000 (not a 2000xl) and the guy who's sellin' me the mp said that the pitch slider is broke and the zip drive jus died so I was wondering if anyone knew of a website or has a phone number to a part store!

Don't worry...I only paid 300 for the damn thing lmao!

i've just copped a 2k classic too for silly money as the floppy was dead

i think the shuttle wheel may be a bit out of wack tho..

In order to put the nv slider back on you are goin to need to know how to solder. If you do then great if you dont then you could either go with out using it or have a tech fix it.(85% of people who on an mpc2000 dont use the NV slider). how in the hell do you load your OS? well i guess there's other ways...i still depend on my floppy for that reason..

You can load your OS from a zip drive its just a matter of setting it up. If you would like to load your OS from a zip drive then this is how you do it.(you can even do it from an hard drive)

By copying the operating system file on an external SCSI drive such as a hard disk, it is possible to start the MPC2000 without a system disk floppy. Save the operating system to an external SCSI drive according to the aforementioned procedure (DISK menu). By turning the power of the external SCSI drive on and turning the power of the MPC2000 on, the MPC2000 first searches the floppy disk and then the external drivers starting from SCSI ID 0.
The MPC2000 will start loading the operating system once the system file is found.

you can copy the os to a scsi device.
when it bootsup it will auto load your mp's o/s if the disk is inserted.
