What's the future of the 3000!!!!

Upgrade to a new MPC or STFU!!!!!!!! Nobody is updating the 3K.

Actually, he's already done some updates (refinements) to the 3k O.S. and has some others in the works.
What's slowing him down is he's having trouble programming the 3k to be more like the newer MPC's, you know system test, dumping your samples, premature pad failing, frozen transport, sync problems, etc.
These are the features to add to make the 3K more like the new MPC's.
There a forum for comparison now so really no need to come to 3k users and try to tell them what's better or try to mandate why you have a something else.

To be there everyday and work when I turn it on as expected.

I think this list could be refined but these are upgrades I'd still like to see:



1) A few more and Better Delays.

2) An Auto sample chop feature.

3) An easier way to split stereo samples up.

4) Resampling.

5) Timestretching.

OR
you could just add a Triton, Motif of Fantom and have all that and more in a real sampling environment.

Only track mute? Forget everything that was added in the past 10 years and just give me the ability to use multiple programs per sequence and graphic waveform editing....

Why have to choose when you can have both? Its really pointless to talk about it. The MPC 3000 will never have those features I want. If it did, I wouldn't have to much use for my newer MPC.

why do you do this to your mpc3000 when you dont like the way it works. sell it and go with your 2500, 2000 or 4000. why you have multible mpcs?

Well, since you asked....I have always had two MPCs. Before the 2500, I used the 3000 mostly and the XL as my back up (and the one my kids use).

Now, I mainly use the 2500 with the 3000 as my back up. My 3000 needs a new screen and some buttons are at the point it would be good to have them replaced. So why not just get a new paint job as well....plus the fact that very few here (if any at all) has ever sent their MPCs to Forat for customization. I will probably get my 2500 customized after the warranty expires as well.

The 3000 works just fine the way it is.

Oh..and there are plenty of catz in this forum with multiple MPCs.
