does all the mpc1000 made in china or there are someone made in japan....
i hear something similar and i'm curious to know is a fake or not

I strongly doubt there are any pirated or replicated units on the market. It would be interesting but highly unlikely.

i was thinking about a first production of mpc1000 in japan and a second and later on in china (maybe after bankrupt of akai)

hey are personal thoughts... nobody here has a mpc 1000 with made in japan on the retro?

i got one from the second run and its china....... i thought the new ones were korean?

Even My 2000 classic was made in china.

I've even seen some S-series samplers made in China. Somewhere in the late 90's that happened... most likely around the time Roger Linn stopped working for Wakai.

Just looked at the box for the 1k it's made in china also. Bought from Guitar Center.

there are rumours that electronics made in china is built by cheap labour and cheap componets and is basicly shit and will break beacuse of this.
never seen it happen though

the chinese guys i got in my basement making nike airs said thats total bs there quality is great.

so nobody here see a "made in japan" one eh?
