What do you mean? Go into step edit on a track locate the programchange event and delete it.

well, the funny thing is that i dont see any, but when i assign an isntrument to that track, go back and press play from te start, it goes back to that same unwanted instrument. that used 2 happen in cubase, so i would go to the midi editor, program change, select the program change command and delet it, so i could assign other instruments to that track.

Turn TC OFF, go into step edit on the track that have a program change on, rotate the wheel through the beats, bars, clocks until you find the pgm change, delete it.

As a rule you should put all your program changes, bank changes and sysex messages on a seperate sequence that you can recall once you do all your editing on your synth. Otherwise, as you're probably well aware, the Mpc will keep resetting your settings when you play the sequence.
