What i'm trying to do is track the MIDI coming from my 1000 into Pro Tools 6.9 while also using it to trigger my sequence created on my Motif ES. I know how to track the audio from the MP and my Motif into Pro Tools no problems. But in addition to tracking the audio, i also want to track the MIDI info from the MP. I have it all set up as follows...

Pro Tools set as the master with my M-Audio 1x1 OUT going into MIDI IN 1 on the MP. MIDI OUT A of the MP to the Motif IN, and MIDI OUT B from the MP into the M-Audio 1x1 IN which then goes back into Pro Tools. I also have the MIDI output on the MP set to OMNI AB. As i said before, i can easily track all audio from the MP and my Motif with no problems with this set up, i just can't seem to get any MIDI messages into Pro Tools.

I'm not sure if the problem exists on the MP side or the Pro Tools side of things, so i also posted this ? on the Digidesign forum and am still awaiting a reply for that. I figured i'd better get to the bottom of this that way, with both sides giving input.

If anyone has any suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time in advance...

So you want to track the MIDI events used to trigger the MPC internal sounds from the MIDI A output of the MPC into your MProTools?
For the MPC to send out mididata you should set the relevant MPC Tracks to MIDI (in the down left corner in MAIN mode) and assign them to the appropriate MIDI port (in the down right corner in MAIN mode). You have to do this for each track in each sequence.
If your tracks are set to DRUM and are not assigned to a midi track+output, there will be no MIDI data output for those tracks.
