note repeat and q-link bugs seem to be fixed acording to the release notes.

since there was no changes to the file system, its probably not necessary, but it couldnt hurt if you feel up for it.

i reformatted mp hard disk.wat i had to do was drop all my programs on my pc through usb.format the drive then drop it back on the 2500.i havent had saving or loading problems since then.

YAY good job...Akai makin the 2500 work properly kinda sorta....!

now all we need is simult....I think this is only a problem fix update which I m content with for now!

Just a quick note if your MPC freezes at 98% while loading the new OS:

* Cut and paste the OS to the ROOT directory of the ORIGINAL CF CARD that came with the 2500.
* With the unit OFF, power up while holding the WINDOW button down.
* It should prompt you to load up the new OS. Hit F6 for DO IT.

I'm sure this isn't the only way to get it to work, but it's what I did; worked flawlessly.

This is what the guys at Akai say about loading the O.S. on the 2500.

download it, unzip to the Compact Flash Card, power up the unit while holding the WINDOW button, and it will load. That is the preferred way to do it. We are just in the process of updating our “How To Update The OS” document on the web site.

Is the MTC Slave really working for anyone?
If so please answer the questions asked by Jahrome;

What are you using as the MTC Master? Will you list your settings? Also, with the MPC 2500 as the MTC slave, can you both start and stop the 2500 from your other sequencer?

MPC4000 at 30fps, I haven't tried Sonar 5 yet.

Can you provide a little more detail? What are your MPC 2500 settings and 4000 settings?

MTC Out - 30fps - Send MMC: On
