getting your bpm

Thanks for that - I was talking about Beats and not Bars because I don't always work in 4/4. (7/8 is great for confusing anyone stoopid enough to dance in public.)
We can assume 44100 is the right number for anything you sample on the MPC1000, though you'll see different numbers on different samplers.

(A slight error in your math though - 100,000 samples over 4 beats = 105.84 BPM...)
