SCSI CD-ROM for Mpc 2000xl MCD

Hey...I had the Mpc for a couple of weeks now and I feel comfortable with it...therefore I am looking to add a CD-ROM to it. The Mpc has a 50 pin SCSI connection which a CD-ROM can be connected to. The problem is I cant find a SCSI CD-ROM locally. Therefore I searched on E-Bay and found one near by, however instead of being external it is a internal CD-ROM. I was wondering if an internal can work the same way as an external and what other things would I need to get for the CD-ROM. If you have any other suggestions to help me out please leave them.

You can put that internal one into an box an allow it to become an external SCSI device or go to www.scsi4samplers.com to buy an cd drive. I believe they also sell the empty external boxes to place an internal drive into so it becomes external.

i have a combo cd-rom/harddrive i want to sell with cables. purchased at scsi4samplers a little 2 years ago. still new. i dont need it. cheap! any takers
