ok this is difficult to explain but id like to know if this is happenin to me only, im havin a serious midi issue.
Im runnin 1.21 (not installed .22 yet)

Example:
I start a new Tr: 01 - Type: MIDI - Midi: 1A
i write my line and its ok, i mute it and its ok, but after whenever i go to write another track on the same midi channel, ALSO if i already switch the first to OFF!!, i cant mute the midis anymore.

Everytime a midi track is muted its still triggerin the sound!!! No way to fix it after this happens...

f**k i hope i had been clear explainin it.
I obviously tried different sound modules and synths on different channels but with no results. It still triggers, doin more tries but id like to know if im alone on this one.

"switch the first to OFF!!"

switch it to mute:ON
i just checked it out. it works!

you should install the new os and
try it again.
i ve read about some similar midi problems when muted tracks
were played back. but it was kind of short attack sounds and not
the normal notes.

Short attack sounds? Exactly, its my problem too

Should the new Os solve it? Im going to update tomorrow anyway
Is there any old thread about it? I tried to search but with no results

Im tryin to build up a live set with some gears and this bug is really disturbing

OK now that ive my midi working ive lost the 'Immediate' function...it was pretty useful for my live set, NO WAY! Now i should convert all the 'one shot' samples and prepare/write em all again...

No one knows if 1.22 is solving it?
Do someone knows the other bugs connected to the 'Other' section as the 'contin. track' and so on?

Why don't you download the OS history pdf?

I obviously did, but considering the fantastic world of 2500 os...

What 'bugs' are you having exactly? The new OS doesn't appear to really fix any real/perceived to be real MIDI bugs/issues.

Also (just curious) why do you need multiple tracks using the same MIDI channel? (which really isn't the problem it appears).

It seems like your problem is that you don't like the behavior of stopping one shot-samples. When it is set to immediate, you can't mute MIDI events. This function is fairly new to MPCs. It would be a bug if it was intended to do one thing and it did the opposite. (I guess). But by turning it on and it disables another function..does it really qualify as a 'bug' or is this a feature that can be enhanced to work better?

If you need your one-shot sounds to stop..do what we have done for years....set your long samples to note-on instead of one-shot. Or, you can just press STOP 3 times to get one-shot samples to halt.

Ok i agree with you that is fairly new and we have done without for years but now this is a bug...also if its a new option it cant be used so...
Now its a big waste of time coz i prepared all of my 1 hour set with various one/shot samples coz theyre really long phrases...now i have to waste a lot of time if i want to use a midi gear as lets say a Microkorg.

Microkorg has 1 channel and i like to play with it and the MPC and sample it during track sketches on the couch havin my blunt, so its no use to change everytime the Midi channel on the micro for every new sound and so on...

Also im using the Contin. Mode function so i hope this wont disable something else, i better know it before i go play around and have some cool surprise from the magic world of the features that can be enhanced to work better
I still miss my old XL....
