what are the benefits of installing a cd/dvd burner in2500

whats up forum. i just got a 2500 move up from a maxed out 2000xl and i love when my gears are max out to the edge,

it has a 60 gig hard drive and maxed out memory is on its way in post .

so i need a 2500 old timer to tell me all the benefits of having a burner

Not free. Nothings free for UK buyers, which sucks IMO. I just bought the EXM128, which was free for US buyers a few weeks back. :x

Numark should keep things equally worldwide. UK even has its own Numark building.

2. Sample from CDs
3. Load audio files off CD/DVD media

you can burn a track you are working on straight to a cd and then put it on your pc right?

I hope you don't take this the wrong way ( :wink: ) but.....you seem clueless. What did you think you can do with a CD burner? A CD burner burns CDs ??? It burns actual audio cds that are ready to be played in a CD player. It is missing the data back up to CD though...but with a compact flash care reader/writer and back up via USB..this is not a feature that (IMHO) anyone needs overnight.

this got me thinking too . eg. say i have a 8 track beat can it burn each track about 4 mins long to a disk. as this would be handy for moving tracks right on to a pc . as the MTC with logic is a bit buggy.

With a Cd player u dont need to have your computer with you
(lets say for sampling from a Cd Audio)
I admit that a 'Data writer' function would be very helpful for the cost of it...

I was thinking, maybe you could buy a new 2500, order your free CD burner, then return the 2500. You can get even more seedy and return the old one but keep the newer one.
