Yo geeks - check this out.  Since all the homies on the west go here, maybe you'll see it somewhere.  Don't hurt yourselves.

oh my god......this thread is dumb only becuz of the war it caused....you got a guy fussing about what someone would bring to a ad....that is dumb...clothes companies give clothes for the shoot but does that mean i cant wear the shirt that my boy from around the way designed?...no.....i don't think dre would touch the keys of a 2000xl...not even the studio edition...that is a MPC3000LE with roger linn's signature on it....i was amped when i seen that....not DRE the MPC.....dre using it was even better......true it is not hooked up but hey.....also for the guy who said those are props.... LMAO....that kid in the sean john ad was banging on a MPC3000 too it was not the LE version........

That is an MPC 2000xl Blue.. Look at the data wheel and the screen....... It is not a 3000.. the 3000 had a silver data wheel and It doesn't matter what MPC you use if you are good you are good if you suck you suck.... Dre problably uses anything he feels like and problably has 100's of instruments that he uses and doesn't reveal.. a ... real producer doesn't tell you everything... there called secrets and it is what sets you apart from others... In this age of crappy You Tube MPC videos trying to tutor you on making the same beat .. insert piano sample and high pitched female voice... It seems some people just don't get it... Be original for ---- sake! Stop trying to copy and or use the exact same equipment as other dudes.. It will not make you sound like them no matter what ......

the only one it could possibly be is the 2000xl.

i also wouldn't doubt that it could just be a prop made to look like an mpc since the 2000xl has two screws on the side of it near the bottom of the unit, and this one clearly has at least 3 screws on it's side in locations that the 2000xl's case normally doesn't have them.

so it's either just a prop made to look like a 2000xl, or it's a customized 2000xl, though i'm not sure why someone would add those screws.

Looks like a 1000 dummy, from the time they were still developing it.

Cosign it's a prop of a 2kxl, it's just too thin to be a real one.
And look at the data wheel, but definitely a prop.

Its a prop! 100%
Why would you have RIVETS in the side of ya mpc!
I could make one of them, a few MPC spare parts and sheet metal, paint it and rivet it together, DONE! standard prop work!
Peace!
