like on the 2000xl u could set the number of beats to get the tempo for how many bars u have .. wonder if jj could implement that on the 1000 cause the current tempo setup is a joke

so crucial for taking a drum and adding that
same drum filtered differently (like with a lo pass).
thickens up your drums so nicely.

its such a classic, easy technique on older mp's that its
a shame that its a bit more of a pain in the ass to do on the 1000.

Very easy....every software feature the MPC 2000/2000XL, Mpc 3000, and MPC 2500 has that the 1000 doesn't currently have.

About the sf2 that isnt a bad idea. I think its possible though with bluebox you can import akp files. Just convert them and they will still work as multisamples I'm guessing or probably make them into programs.

Choosing a sample from program mode. That would make layering really fast. Plus I could tweak my 5hit right when I snatch a sample.

I had the following in a separate topic, but seems better to add them in this topic:

Load screen: be able to select the type of data you want to see.
This was included in the Akai OS. If I do a liveset somewere, I normally select to display only pgm and then .all. This makes scrolling and searching not needed.

Save screen and track naming screen: Make the Numeric knob activate the numeric pads, so that you don't have to use the datawheel for adding numeric values to a track/song/sample, etc name.
I often use numeric values in my names, like hitat1, and 303 short, etc.
Using the scroll wheel to select this, ain't not handy.

A higher resolution would be great for smoother recording of notes, making it a better sequencer. The 4000 has 960ppq, de 1000 got 96ppq. So somewere between is fine enough.

Would be really great if this can be included some day.

You mean they actually removed this function? What else was removed?
