Man ive literally farted into the mic and made a dope bassline out of it. Ive sampled my nephews baby talk, and freaked it. I throw stuff against the wall and sample it. I sample like static and distortion. whatevers clever. Ive sample a bonghit, and put it right before one of my songs (gonna be on the album). Ive sampled alot of christmas music too. good bellz and chimes, hehe

re-amping sounds is always cool. At my studio we have these two huge sets of speakers (they are litterally larger than a human being). They aren't tuned very well to the room so they sound very funky when you turn them up compared to a regular pair of speakers. I like to record sounds coming through that and mix it in a little with the real thing. Kinda makes shit a little grittier.

Old documentaries are a good place to get samples, especially war documentaries (i.e. a news reel post WWII which describes the destruction). They tend to have very dramatic strings/horn sections. Some cool shit I just never have my gear hooked up to the TV when I'm watching it. If you're keen on getting samples off the TV ALWAYS have the vcr running when you're watching it. You never know when you'll catch a crazy dude saying some shit you'll never hear again on the news.

I was watching the NY news about a killer on the run who turned himself in. They had a short interview with the guy where he said some crazy shit about killing people and the cops. It would have made a great intro. Shit like that is a one time shot, you're not gonna hear it again ever in your life, you won't be able to find it.

Haha... damn man, I thought I was the only one who would think of some stupid shit like that. I had a nice fart recorded one time. I didn't fart directly into the mic, I happened to be in the booth recording myself about to sing and I tried to push it out real quick before my part came in so I could have a good take, but the fart sounded so funny that I started crackin up and couldn't sing anyway I trashed it later, but then regretted getting rid of it, I coulda made a BANGIN-ass bassline outta that beauty.
