MPC 2000 Disk Read Error

I just boutght an MPC 2000 and really don't know how to work it. When I turn it on I get a disk read error once it asks me for the mpc 2000 disk. Please Help!!!!

Did you put a disk with the os in the disk drive ? Have you already opened the manual? Did you read it?

Get a BRAND NEW disk. Put this on it http://www.forat.com/Downloads/2_mpc2kv172.zip

Unzip that file and put that on the new floppy disk everything on the new disk except the PDF file.

NOTE:use a brand new disk that has never been used DO NOT USE THAT SAME DISK.

Load that up tell me what happens.

If it still is getting an error your drive needs to be replaced. Its simple to replace it uses the same floppy drive as an PC.

For some reason now the disk is loading. I guess because it wasn't used fror a while. But as of right now it's loading the disk and it works. I'm kind of new to this so what else would i need in terms of getting started? Mixer? Tuner? Keyboard?
