Are the 8 outs on here only putting out mono sounds. I noticed when i put my sample through there it would get kinda cloudy sounding. The drums kinda odd but not too bad just nice and grimey like I like. Another thing why are all internal effects useless when using 8 outs? Really such a hassle :(

Umm, yes, they are mono. That's why there is only one plug per output.

They are balanced though, so if you put a stereo cable to one of them to your mixer, it might sound a little odd, yes.

the 8 outs are mono but are set up as 4 stereo pairs so if you have a stereo sample you can assign it out 1/2, 3/4, etc... or just mono like 1, 2, 3,...

Because more than likely if you're going 8 out, you're running into a mixer or program that has effects in it already. That's the whole point... for "mixing" the drums individually.

clearly................ I just want my samples to not sound like shit out of that out. It seems weird cloudy phased kinda sounding. playing a stereo sample through mono.

Why would you try sending a stereo sample through MONO when you can send it in stereo?? You have the option of sending stereo samples to paired outs 12, 34, 56, 78, and ST.

exactly, already figured it out. But why wont the effects work on those outssssssssssssssss. possible bug or intentional since tracking programs have effects?

It's a hardware limitation. Probably more like a DSP limitation to keep the price down. You can't get the effects to those outs, but you can resample with effects.

I am not 100% sure because I never cared for effects in any MPC..but don't the 2000/2000XL effects work exactly the same way?

Also, its amazing what people come up with when they are speculating....
