Looking for sample in the Monome video

Ok folks, I got a question.

I'm looking for music like the string sample that's used in the first Monome video, the one he's using when demoing the "mlr" application in the last half:

I wanna know what I would have to look for...it's not classical (although I don't know much classical music, so I might be wrong), not really jazz...is there a genre for that? Or is it just special artists I need to find?

wow i've never seen that thing before that looks sick but a lof of programming involved ahead of time. like a mpc with 64 pads. and yeah that strings sample is pretty sick.

I read somewhere that it was a Henry Mancini sample, he's a composer that did alot of film and tv scores(in the 60's and 70's). So I guess it is kind of classical. The sample is probaly from one of his soundtracks.
