Hi all.

I'm getting desperate for a nice OS and am looking in to opening the BIN file, however it is in a compiled format - does anyone know how to open this file?

Thanks.

since the 1k and the 2500s os are very similar maybe the creator of the beta os for the 1000 can answer this question...

where can I get in contact with them / him please?

It will be a binary file especially compiled for the 2500's CPU by an especially designed compiler/development kit. You won't be able to do much with that unless you're an experienced embedded system programmer and have access to the CPU manufacturer's compiler I'm afraid.

Its a ROM BIN,

That's what I thought but I posted anyway. PM Rohan or Mpc3000 and see if they can offer any insight.

Id like to take a look at it yeah?

If I ever get it open I'm sure I'll just fook it up, but hey - its gotta be better than waiting for Akai updates.

I would like to crack the JJ MPC1000 OS 3.0 open and have a look at that as well.

Are you a programmer? Are you fluent with the type of code these OS guys use and do you know what you are looking at, looking for?

If not, it's seems like nothing more than a curiousity on your part.

I have been know to dabble in the black arts - yeah.

As for what code they use - I have no idea until I open the BIN file.

But, it is mainly curio, yar.

That's what I am talking about. We have smarts kids on this site. There are some things I don't like about Nuendo 3. Can somebody hook a brother up and re-program it. Also, its been a minute since Recyle 2.1 has been released. Propellerhead is taking along time to update that program. Anybody want to give it a try?
