OK -- I've read thru the FAQ and forum sections and I know there's a bunch of posts on how to install an HD drive that works with the 60, however, I was wondering if there was an actual speed difference between a DD drive and an HD drive when it comes to loading and saving files?

Anyone notice a difference after upgrading to an HD?

Thanks!

Peace.

Maybe I didn't pose my question clearly enough...

I know that you can replace the original disk drive in the 60 which uses DD/DS floppies with a newer drive that uses HD floppies, as long as you, a.) have a disk drive that is compatible with the 3.1 OS, and b.) use the correct jumper settings.

My question is: has anyone noticed a difference in read & write speeds between the two types of drives?

Just curious...

Peace.
