Hey spark. I didnt put them up but the dude name is certified or something like that. If you want to thank him all u have to do is sign up on youtube and when u go view one of those vids and u are logged in u can leave comments and send him notes. But i posted them here cause alot of those download links were dead or people were having trouble.

Not sure if anyone answered your question. Here goes...

Open Cubase first & then Reason. So you are slaving Reason to Cubase in a sense. You will then be able to route the audio coming out of Reason into an audio channel of Cubase. If you want to seperate your tracks, then mute what you don't want to record in Reason and do one at a time into an audio channel in Cubase. They will be in sync.

Use your audio card to get MPC recorded. If you can MIDI the MPC too, then this will help in terms of latency. Some audio cards have both MIDI and audio. Refer to your manual to see about Latency.

:? why use only 1 audio channel dude? u can record ALL tracks sperately at once.... just check the reason and cubase manual it's explained very well... if u can't figure out hit me on my pm. peaz

if anyone needs help with reason's "rewire" into any daw, let me know. also if you need help with the mpc + reason going into your daw, let me know.

Problem is, it seems like you have to go thru TOO many steps doing all that. But it has to be done so whatever.

do i need some type of interface for my reason3??i cant go laptop w-reason to keyboard via usb, to mpc 1k via midi???

Hi immy,

I'm having exactly the same problem. I use MPC to sequence and sample, Reason as a sound module, Cubase to record. When I link up Reason via Midi Clock to the MPC, the Midi Data in Reason/Cubase is effectivley non-existant. I'd even be happy to somehow just record the audio of reason into cubase while sequencing w/ the MPC.......but I can't figure it out. If you've learned anything new since your posting, I'd love to hear about it!

Hi Sparq,

Wow, I could sure use your help.

I use an MPC 2000 as my sequencer/ Reason as a sound module / Cubase for recording.

When I use the REason sequencer to make tracks, it's very easy to rewire/record into Cubase.

HOWEVER, I use the MPC to sequence. When I run Reason as a Slave to the MPC, the sounds trigger just fine in Reason, but there is no midi data! So when I rewire into Cubase, it's as if nothing is there.......you can hear it, but the data is absent.

Does this make sense? If so, any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated!

I have run into a problem though.. When I had first set up my midi keyboard with the MPC, everything worked perfectly. A few weeks later when I recorganized my studio, I tried recofiguring the midi controller with the MPC and I get no response.

I am using:
MPC 2500
M-audio keystation 61es
M-audio FW 410

Here is how I have set things up:

Out of my keystation I have USB (to the PC) and Midi-out (to the MPC), from the MPC i have Midi-in (from the keystation) and Midi-out (to the FW410)

When i load up reason and set up my Midi channels (on both reason and the MPC) everything works fine from the pads.. I can trigger sounds and record without a problem. The problem occurs when I play keys from my Keystation, I Hear the playback via reason (from usb) but no midi gets recorded into the MPC. So upon playback from my MPC I will be able to hear recordings from my pads triggering sounds in reason, but not from the keyboard.

I can only assume this is a problem with the connection from my Keystation to the MPC midi-in... do you have any idea what the problem may be? are there specific settings in the Midi/sync on the mpc that may have been changed?
