What I dislike The Most About The 2500

Should the TC be working just fine? Cus I can't get it to work with 1/32 (3).

What I dislike the most is the freezing-up-when-creating-a-new-folder-bug. Haven't bumped in to it lately tho.

Yeah..there are several thread going on about the MTC/Midi Clock Sync.

Using OS 1.20, I SLAVED the 2500 to Nuendo 1.5. Using Midi Clock, the kicks I programmed recorded a little early. Using MTC (with and without MMC), they recorded a little late.

But this is audio. I wonder how it performs when I record MIDI...my next test....MIDI produces same results.

Mine has a little scratch too. No clue how it happened, so I've blamed it on my girl. I agree, it's a bit annoying.

I've lost about a days work because of this already (only had my mpc for a couple of weeks). Having lost work because of the "wrong file error" bug, I try to save the entire memory contents in a new folder everytime... only to witness the machine freeze as I try to create that new folder. Between those two bugs, there currently seems to be no foolproof way to regularly save the project you're working on. I think this is ridiculous.. on my computer I haven't lost a thing in years because I'm saving every minute or so, on the MPC saving is so convoluted I fail to do it regularly. I love what the MPC is doing to my creative workflow, but I would never have guessed a hardware unit to be more prone to data loss than software...

Ditto on the punk ass paint job! I've had mine for 5 days. 5 DAYS!! There's a nice scratch on the back corner. Only time it could have happened was when I was installing RAM. Could've been my ring or my belt buckle, but come AWN Y'ALL! What's gonna happen when I gig this thing?

I had my since it was released 11 months ago. For the most part, its scratch free. What they hell are yall doing with it? Using your finger nails

i play mine with my teeth! J/K. yeah i got a scratch on the front too... dont know how it got there, but doesnt really bother me. just take this permenant marker here, and...

How do you shift notes on the 2500...
Every time Im in guitar center playing around on it I can never find the shift notes screen

i reinstalled os 1.20 and that shit don't lock up with pro tools.

i wish that in the TRIM mode when u press the pad to play tha sample, there would be time bar that would scroll while it plays so u know EXACTLY what point of the song is where. it would make life easier.

THIS is a great idea.

to add to that - as someoen else said before, there should be a chop function where you can play it and strike the pads in succession (1-16) and place chops as it goes. you dig? so pad 1 controls the end point of slice 1, 2 of 2, etc.

think - if the sample is realyl fast, you can pitch it down 5 semitones and smack down chops...this would be amazing.

yeah man, i hate guessing where the part i want is, inputing numbers till i get close enough.

On the newer OS in the T.C. window.

In the first OS (which a displayed MPC probably has) it is only in Step Edit, you have to change the Edit: field to SHIFT TIMING.
