Maybe they are suggesting using that OS in the 2500? They have a place there to post bugs for it.

Many of us have been posting bugs or what we perceive as bugs in this forum. Most/if not all have been addressed with the last 4 OS updates. If Akai is currently working on OS fixes..why would we need a 3rd party to do the same???
Ok. To entertain the notion..how about we continue to do what we've been doing and send JJ the link to these forums....or not.

i think its great that some one out there can improve on the OS for the mpc .
akai's are ***holes they take ages to release os then after a few months they dump it. then make new mpc with bugs to grab money. they should be shot!! lol
it would be more great if he could publish the source codes as i know many top coders would jump on it .
i would even pay for a good OS with more features and bug fix.
also we need a crack so we can install more memory

Ages? 4 updates in about a year, that's not too bad.
Of course it would be nice having some features which are obvious but have been left out nevertheless. Like using Q-Links to control effects, Simult for example. But most of the serious issues have been resolved already, and even new features added, like jahrome already mentioned. So all of you guys mostly got what you paid for by now, right?
But let's see what develops. Maybe I'll try JJ's OS too if he gets it going. Maybe not.

no they have not fixed the major faults
they have left out one of the most important feature MTC SLAVE
