2500 with triton studio

Wassup.....new to the board.

I have my MPC2500 controlling the sounds of the Triton studio. I sequence with the 2500 no problem. The only issue im having is that sometimes i like to play the keys of the triton because its more natural than hitting the pad. The MPC sequencer is not recording when i play the keys. It only records when i play the pads. Any suggestions?

do you have your midi out from triton to MPC?

Its all hooked up. I can play the pads and hear the triton sounds. I can even sequence the triton sounds with the pads. I can play the keys. but the keys sequence doesnt record the keys.
