Load screen: be able to select the type of data you want to see.
This was included in the Akai OS. If I do a liveset somewere, I normally select to display only pgm and then .all. This makes scrolling and searching not needed.

You mean they actually removed this function?

It seems so.

I have to have load/preview samples while sequence is playing or simult. Otherwise I'll stick with the beta.

Memory loss? I didn't know it was possible for an MPC to get Alzheimers....

If JJ can cure that, they could make billions!

here's what comes to mind:
1. MPC Program should be able to re-locate a sample when it's been renamed. (instead of displaying: ?sample01)

2. ability to create template names for tracks/samples.. ie Drums, Bass, Poly, Hihats... it would make renaming much more efficient.

3. ability to Solo multi-tracks instantly like Mute. (I didn't find the All Clear in OS3.05 very practical)

4. ability to clear memory: samples/programs when loading a new project. (without the need to power off)

5. long samples should stop playing when you suddenly change sequence. Specially when they're set to Note On!

I emailed JJ about 1 and 3. Hope he does something about them.

he did fix all my previous requests! and I will die a happy man :)
-ability to change track when sequencer is stopped (in NextSequence)
-change sequence while recording (without the need to stop sequencer)
-Shift+DataWheel to scroll faster

it not only has alzheimers its retarded as well. probably what happened is i saved a project and it totally messed up the cf. The thing is, i take care not to overwrite stuff since i know it causes me headache. But seriously problem needs to be solved either by jj or wakai. otherwise whats the point?

agreed, i think the ability in previous os to solo one track and then shift-solo it if needed is much more interesting musically.
unless people find it usefull to do all-clear ?

do you mean this is done ? in 3.05 i still cannot change sequence without stop if i press record. (even the Next Seq button does not go to next seq screen). I really hope they will fix that and i can finally do some live recording during my sets.

monophonic wrote:-Shift+DataWheel to scroll faster

this is really good, although i wish we could also have the akai way (shift+arrow). i actually find shift+arrow faster in some situation. anybody agree ?

i also wish shift + datawheel would scroll samples 10 by 10. this would be so usefull.

and finally, the mute and solo F keys in main screen, they work a bit differently in 3.05. i prefered in previous os.
in 3.05 they are linked to the "track mute" settings. in previous os, the main screen solo had priority over the track mute. this allowed interesting tricks for live play.
ie: solo in main.
go to track mute and change the track settings -> the sound does not change yet.
unsolo in main and the new track mute settings takes effects.
this was great for transitions.

what do you guys think ?

I don't know if this future is possible but I do think so. It would only take some calculations.

In trim mode, if you hit a pad, It would be great if you a line moving through the sample like in cool edit for example. This is useless for short samples but for longer samples 8 bars or so, it would be very useful.

But as I said, I don't know if this is possible.

It would be great to be able to bounce down effects , for example have a snare and select it to send to effect 1 eg reverb and bounce down without having to rerecord the sample .

2 lfos would be great

Hmmmm..what are you actually doing when you bounce down tracks in a digital audio workstation?

I would like to have reverse as an option in the program menu, instead of just pitch and timestretch.
